It saddens us to announce that Lynda Ayers will be leaving the Sunflower Studio after nearly four years. We will miss her beautiful smile and willingness to help the studio thrive and grow. Her beautiful creative jewelry and knitted items have brightened our gallery as well. Her husband Val has also been a tremendous help over the years and rescued us in many times of need. This week is Lynda's last with us, however she will be at Art After Hours in October if you would like to stop by and say farewell in person. You will be missed Lynda!
Lynda Ayers has been a resident artist at the Sunflower Studio & Gallery since 2009. She is a member of the Wake Forest Area Artist. Before she joined Sunflower Studio she participated in fairs and craft events throughout Raleigh and Wake Forest since 2004. Lynda was the artist on display at Sertoma Art Gallery in 2009 and 2010.
Lynda has been knitting and crocheting most of her life. She enjoys creating fee-lance knitting and incorporates felting and lace knitting techniques into many of her works.
Her interests in jewelry making started in 2004. In 2005 she joined a bead weaving group and has incorporated many of the stitches into her pieces. Lynda has been independent with her style. Each piece is delicate and incorporates pearls, and semi precious gems, elements of our earth, into each work of art.
